EMVision Medical Devices Ltd

EMVision Medical Devices Ltd (ASX:EMV) is building a world first portable brain scanning platform designed to bring diagnostic-grade capabilities to the point of care, at the bedside, in emergency departments, and ultimately in pre hospital and retrieval environments where minutes determine outcomes. EMVision is based in Sydney, Australia and was originally spun out of The University of Queensland in 2017.

EMVision exists for one reason: to help clinicians make earlier, more confident stroke care decisions by delivering fast, non invasive, non ionising brain scan information where conventional neuroimaging can’t be accessed quickly enough.

EMVision’s product pipeline centres on two devices:

  • emu™ point of care Brain Scanner (hospital bedside / ED): designed to support rapid identification of intracranial haemorrhage and stroke-type decision support in environments where speed and workflow integration matter.
  • First Responder Brain Scanner (prehospital / road & air ambulances): an ultra light "back pack" platform being developed to extend scanning to the earliest point in the care pathway, before hospital arrival, supporting triage, transfer decisions, along with opening the door to in-field treatment opportunities, in time critical stroke and brain injury scenarios.

EMVision's technology approach combines ultra high frequency radiofrequency scanning with AI based algorithms, engineered to be usable in real clinical workflows.

EMVision indicates its devices are under clinical investigation and not for sale.
